We may have lived in the U.S. for decades, but let’s
face it: our Caribbean roots run deep. We still celebrate
the accomplishments of our people, agonize over setbacks and
want very much to see our islands prosper.
The National Coalition on Caribbean Affairs
(NCOCA) affords those of us living in the United States the
opportunity to make a difference in the lives of Caribbean
people in the United States and throughout the region, through
education and community involvement. NCOCA understands that
true change evolves out of the careful cultivation of relationships
with policy makers in a manner that educates and sensitizes
them to the issues.
NCOCA also understands that in order to
be effective, it needs the support and backing of those interested
in and committed to doing their part to help the Caribbean.
With that in mind we urge you to stand up and be counted as
someone who, having left the Caribbean behind, have not relinquished
your caring or concern for those still living there. We urge
you to take this necessary step, join NCOCA today and start
making a difference.
