John Conyers’ (D-Mi) “Law Enforcement
Trust and Integrity Act of 2000.”

mechanisms to implement the concept of “Countries
without Borders” as advanced by Caribbean leaders.

Observer Status at the Organization of American States
(OAS) and participated in the activities of the 32nd
and 33rd General Assembly Sessions of the OAS in Barbados
and Santiago, Chile, respectively.

- Proposed
to the OAS a program for “Augmenting the Human
Capital of the Caribbean and Latin America.”

- Endorsed
and promoted the CARICOM proposal of a “Regional
Integrated Fund.”

- Fully
endorsed TransAfrica Forum’s “ONE STANDARD
CAMPAIGN” for Haitian refugees and asylum seekers.

- Planned
workshops on “The Special Concerns of Small
Economies” within the America Trade and Sustainable
Development Forum (ATSDF) at the FTAA Miami Ministerial.

- Cooperated
with the Ralph Bunche Center for International Affairs
at Howard University, the United Nations Association
of the National Capital Area and TransAfrica Forum,
in celebrating the centenary of Dr. Ralph J. Bunche.
